The existing outlet in the EUR district reopens after its restyling. The project is part of the airline’s $47.4 million global programme.
On 28 October, Emirates unveiled its Rome Travel Store following a refurbishment. The existing outlet, at Via Chopin 12 in the EUR district, is the first in Italy to adopt the new store model that the airline is rolling out across the main markets of its network.
The ceremony was attended by Flavio Ghiringhelli, Vice President for the Southern and Central Europe regional groupings, and Marco D’Ilario, Emirates’ Country Manager for Italy, together with company representatives, corporate clients, industry partners, and members of the Skywards loyalty programme.
“The refurbishment of our Rome Travel Store represents a concrete investment in customer relationships and in the Italian market,” explained D’Ilario, pointing to Rome as a strategic location for the airline and underlining the importance of personalised assistance.
In the store, consultants support customers in planning itineraries and in choosing additional products and services. For more complex needs, dedicated appointments can be booked—a service aimed at premium-class travellers, frequent flyers, and the small and medium-sized enterprises that organise their own business trips.
The refurbishment of the Rome premises is part of Emirates’ international programme to expand and upgrade its retail network, in which the airline has invested around $47.4 million. The plan so far comprises ten Emirates World Stores and thirteen travel-dedicated outlets worldwide, including the one in Rome.
The Travel Store also offers advice to members of Emirates Skywards—the loyalty programme shared with flydubai—on earning and using miles and on the benefits provided by the various membership tiers. The premises are open Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Emirates serves Italy through the airports of Rome Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa, Venice, and Bologna, with 49 weekly flights to Dubai. From its hub, the airline offers connections to over 140 destinations. It also operates a daily direct flight between Milan Malpensa and New York JFK.
